The annual Albuquerque Wine Festival is one of those fun things you get to go to every year when you’re in town. It usually falls on Memorial Day Weekend and it consists of 3-day festival held at the Balloon Fiesta Park where you pay an admission fee $20 and you get your own wine glass and all the wine samples you can drink. You can buy your tickets here: BUY TICKETS
You’ll find a lot of vendors with tents (wines, apparel, cheeses, pastries, souvenirs and more) so you can spend the day walking about. It can get hot so I suggest you wear sunblock and bring a hat or umbrella.
How We Got Around
We used Uber to go to and from the event. Remember, don’t drink and drive! Here is a $20 Uber credit you can use to get to and from your destination. Promo code: kiloryrue or click here.
Where We Stayed
This time around we stayed at the Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown and enjoyed the beautiful views of the Sandia Mountains from the room. It has a great location and it’s very close to the Coronado Center (mall). And it was a 15 minute ride to the park. Not bad!
Great place to Eat:
We checked out TripAdvisor and found out about Trombino’s. It’s a Traditional Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere and most importantly, delicious food! Find their menu here: TROMBINO’S.
Remember to bring sunblock, hats or even an umbrella to cover yourself from the Sun. These little portable chairs can also come in handy while waiting in line for your wine and they fit in a backpack so they’re super portable:
